Zona Aperitivo - Marzo 2021
Questo è un breve reportage realizzato durante la "seconda ondata” della pandemia da Covid-19, tra il 15 e il 30 Marzo 2021, nella mia città, Udine.
L’Italia era divisa in zone di colore proporzionali alla pericolosità di contagio (bianca-gialla-arancione-rossa) e tutta la regione Friuli Venezia Giulia si trovava nella zona rossa, quella con le maggiori restrizioni: tutti i negozi non essenziali erano chiusi, i bar aperti solo per asporto fino alle ore 18 e non era permesso uscire di casa se non per lavoro, acquisti di prima necessità, attività motoria da svolgere nei pressi di casa e per far uscire il cane. Il risultato fotografico di queste restrizioni è una città molto suggestiva, quasi spettrale e struggente. Le poche persone che si potevano incontrare erano abitanti del centro, usciti per portare fuori il cane, fare una breve passeggiata o compiere il tragitto da o verso il luogo di lavoro.
Tutte le fotografie sono state scattate con un iPhone 12 Pro in RAW/DNG perché questo reportage mette tra parentesi la qualità tecnica delle immagini per tentare invece di trasmettere il sentimento che io stesso provavo attraversando la mia città dopo il lavoro: un sentimento di solitudine e di alienazione, come se la vita del centro fosse stata temporaneamente spenta.

This is a short report made during the "second wave" of the pandemic from Covid-19, between 15 and 30 March 2021, in my city, Udine.
Italy was divided into color zones proportional to the danger of contagion (white-yellow-orange-red) and the whole region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia was in the red zone, the one with the most restrictions: all non-essential stores were closed, bars were open only for take-away until 6 pm and it was not allowed to leave the house except for work, essential purchases, motor activities to be carried out near the house and to let the dog out. The photographic result of these restrictions is a very suggestive city, almost ghostly and heart breaking. The few people you could meet were residents of the city center, exited to take the dog out, take a short walk or or travel to or from the workplace.
All photographs were taken with an iPhone 12 Pro in RAW/DNG because this reportage puts the technical quality of the images in brackets to try instead to infuse the mood that I felt going through my city after work: a feeling of loneliness and alienation, as if the life of the city center had been temporarily turned off.
